Events will
be held at the Loews Annapolis Hotel, beginning on Sunday evening,
October 2nd,
with an ice-breaker cocktail reception. Monday will feature
a full day of informative sessions,
followed by a Chesapeake Bay themed
evening event. On Tuesday, sessions continue, ending
at noon.
About Annapolis
The seminar is being held in the heart of historic Annapolis, a
city whose history lives in
a museum without walls. In addition
to being the capital of Maryland, Annapolis is the home of
the United States
Naval Academy and an internationally celebrated maritime industry.
This capital city is laid-back, the scenery is awe-inspiring and
the local fare is seasoned
with the flavors of the Chesapeake Bay.
You will also be visiting “America’s sailing capital.” If
you extend your stay, you can attend
North America’s largest
in-the-water sailboat show, beginning on Thursday, October
6th.
A few historical facts about Annapolis:
- Annapolis was our country’s capital
for nine months
- The State House is the oldest state Capitol
still in continuous legislative use
- The Treaty of Paris was ratified here, ending
the Revolutionary War
- St. Johns College, founded in 1796, stands
as the third oldest college in the United States
- Annapolis has more original 18th century structures
standing than any other city in North America
Registration information will
be available soon,
but mark your calendar now for this important event.
